Marie Charlotte Loewenberg (“Mariechen”). (Note on her letter in the Anecdote Booklet)
Also in the Saturday Newspaper of “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” “art market” (Kunstmarkt) there’s a painting showing cabbage at the Wannsee Villa: (remember the letter of Mariechen, where she complains about the bad quality of the food served at the invitation, and aunt Else whispering with Bruno about Liebermann. As I wrote some time ago, there are allusions to this war-time shortage in the supplies in Mariechen’s account.)
