His headstone reads In memory of Solomon Joseph beloved husband of Caroline Joseph. Born in Plymouth England June 15th 1834. Died at Tamworth, NSW April 24th 1900.

The Hebrew inscription on his headstone reads - Here lies an honest and righteous man with praiseworthy attributes Shlomo son of Avraham. Died on 25 Nisan 5660. In Hashem I trusted and I will not be afraid what humans will do to me. May his soul be bound in the bond of eternal life.9

Ancestor (grandfather) of Bill Jessop. Edited Australian Israelite in Melbourne 1871, 1882 moved to Tamworth where he was proprietor and editor of the Tamworth News.

Rookwood has burial of Ralph Herbert Joseph died 07 Jan 1880, inscription reads Infant son of Solomon and Caroline Joseph, b sabbath 9th Siveon AM 5639 Translated from Hebrew b 31 May 1879, died Tebeth AM 5640, aged nearly 8 months (Inscr on footstone - RHJ 188-?)
