Barbara Falk recounts774 that Manfred arrived in Paris. His mother was non-Jewish and she married a Nazi, divorced his father under the racial laws. Manfred who was thus half-Jewish was sent to Paris to stay with an elderly female relative. Werner Falk went over to Paris from Oxford to fetch him. Manfred spoke no English and he was psychologically disturbed. Manfred stayed with Barbara and Werner Falk until he learned enough English to go to a Quaker tutor who specialised in emotionally disturbed children. For Barbara and Werner this was a considerable trial. Manfred could be cruel, and at the age of about 14 strung up the family cocker spanial by his paws to the lavatory chain!775 Even after he left he would come back to stay for holidays.

Eventually Erich started a small gallery in London and Manfred inherited that. Barbara and Werner bought objects from Erich so he would have money to live on, and this was the source of the Egyptian and Chinese collection which Werner Falk accumulated.

Manfred eventually married an older women.

A search of the Web reveals that later in life “Professor” Manfred Cassirer became extremely interested in seeking evidence of the paranormal. In the course of this research he wrote six books covering both psychical research and UFOs:772
Parapsychology and the UFO (1988)
The Persecution of Mr Tony Elms: The Bromley Poltergeist (1993)
Dimensions of Enchantment: The Mystery of UFO Abductions
Close Encounters and Aliens (1994)
Medium on Trial: The Story of Helen Duncan and the Witchcraft Act (1997)
The Hidden Powers of Nature (2001); and
Miracles of the Bible (2003).
