Ludwig Cassirer is mentioned by Markus Cassirer in his will which is held at the Leo Baeck Institute in New York. Sigrid Bauschinger who has viewed this entry reports that Ludwig must have died  between 1874, when Markus wrote his will and 1879, when Markus died. No birth date for Ludwig is listed but it is probable he was the fifth of the eight sons, born after Salo (born 1847) and before Moritz (born 1856).1286
