Captured at the fall of Singapore by the Japanese he was forced towork on the Thai-Burma Railway and died on the 30 September 1943, andwas buried at the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, Myanmar[Burma] Area A,10, Grave 3. at the age of 21 years.
